As the saying goes, "art goes beyond disabilities and borders," it is our great pleasure to welcome you to this year's ParaArt TOKYO International Exchange Exhibition. With the warm support and sponsorship of many organizations, this annual event has once again brought together deeply moving artworks from all around the world.
This year is especially meaningful for us, as we celebrate the wonderful milestone of the 60th anniversary of Nippon Charity Kyokai.
We would like to express our deepest gratitude to everyone involved in making this possible. As we look to the future, we remain dedicated to continuing our mission not only toward our 70th and 80th anniversaries, but for generations to come. We truly appreciate your continued support and encouragement as we keep moving forward.
Looking ahead, we aim to adapt to the changing times, especially with fresh ideas like our virtual gallery.
This past year brought challenging weather, filled with unpredictable days and extreme phenomena. We can only imagine the hardships faced by the artists—some holding brushes with their mouths or feet—as they created their masterpieces during the sweltering, humid days of midsummer. Yet, despite these difficulties, our excitement only grows to see these powerful works that truly go beyond all disabilities and borders.
With a sincere hope that this exhibition will touch the hearts of many visitors around the world, we offer our warmest welcome and gratitude. Thank you very much.

It is our great pleasure to co-host the 2026 PARAART TOKYO International Exchange Exhibition.
Art is inclusive, transcending national borders, ethnicities, and other differences to bring inspiration and excitement to the hearts of people. I would like to express my deep respect to everyone at Nippon Charity Kyokai, including Chairman Yashiro Eita, for their dedication to creating opportunities for people with disabilities to demonstrate their talents developed through the arts.
In addition to the physical exhibition, all of the works are available for viewing online through the virtual gallery. This online exhibition will surely provide many people, including those who are unable to visit the venue in person, with a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the numerous amazing works of art.
Next fall, the National Art and Cultural Festival for Persons with Disabilities will be held in Tokyo for the first time in 24 years. The Tokyo Metropolitan Government will continue to do all that it can to ensure that as many people as possible have opportunities to experience a diverse range of works and activities, fostering greater familiarity with art and culture.
Let us work together for the realization of a society where everyone can shine and truly feel happy.
In closing, I sincerely hope that the success of this exhibition will lead to a deeper understanding of the cultural and artistic activities of people with disabilities, and help further advance various forms of social participation.
